Changes to Study Online

Welcome to your new Study Online. You’ll find quite a few changes to the SAS VLE, but at its heart, it still offers an online hub for your degree programme modules. Study Online, however, now also provides you with much more, such as:

  • Access to useful information and resources
  • A series of research skills tutorials
  • A more structured design
  • More attractive pages

Some of these new features are still in the design phase and will be released later in September and throughout the year. In addition, we have supplied some basic guidelines to help orientate you around the new website [these can be found from the home page – Guidance tab].

Important note for 2018-19 modules

As this has been a major upgrade to Study Online, it was not possible to maintain some enrolment information across the site. We, therefore, are asking you to check your Dashboard on the main menu to see if you still have access to your modules for 2018-19. If any are missing, please find these via the Site Index menu item. All modules have been set up so that you can self-enroll yourself back into the module. This is equally true for any pages containing access to the upload option for Dissertations.

At present, the look and feel of the module pages have not been updated along with the theme. The new theme and structure will be fully implemented on all modules for the 2019-20 academic year.

We hope you like the new design. If you have any comments or problems, please email Studyonline_Support@sas.ac.uk or contact your Programme tutor.
