Update 20/5/2020: The FCO is still advising British nationals against all but essential international travel and the Health Secretary is saying that it is unlikely that foreign travel will be possible this summer. Therefore the position of the University in regards to travel remains as it has been since the beginning of March. Travel would not be covered by the University insurance, Diversity remain instructed not to accept bookings and travel expenditure will not be authorised.
Update 6/5/2020: The School has introduced a policy in response to the Covid -19 pandemic. This policy applies to taught courses and research that contributes to degrees of the University of London through the institutes and central departments of the School of Advanced Study. This policy is valid for the period 20 March to 31 December 2020 in response to the widespread impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. It will be reviewed periodically to ensure continued relevance and may be extended. Advice for Tier 4 students on the implications of deferring and interrupting will be published by the Registry Services. The School’s AQSC will establish the methodology to employ the no detriment element of the policy.
Update 19/03/20: To safeguard the well-being of our students, visitors, and staff, all SAS buildings will close at 16:00 on Friday, 20 March, including Senate House, the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (Clore House), and the Warburg Institute.
Update 17/03/20, 17:10: Senate House Library will operate reduced opening hours on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 March, it will then be closed until further notice.
