Italian Intermediate (2023-24)
Intermediate Italian is aimed at developing students' skills in Italian grammar, as well as increasing their specialist academic vocabulary and introducing them to authentic early modern texts.
Italian Advanced (2023-24)
Advanced Italian will consolidate students’ understanding of the grammar and vocabulary of Renaissance Italian, and will focus on translating authentic source material into English.
English Palaeography (2023-24)
This course will give you the fundamental skills to transcribe primary sources in Early Modern English. We will look at the standard letter forms from the period, the main scripts in use, and develop your transcription skills using a range of sources from letters to literary texts to recipes to financial records.
Italian Palaeography (2023-24)
Renaissance Italian Palaeography will provide scholars with training in reading and transcribing a range of Italian scripts. It will be tailored as far as possible to the specific needs of the students in the group.
